EXW > Ex Works – Delivery in a commercial enterprise

The buyer receives the goods from the establishment and prepares the necessary documents for export, completing the customs procedures and importing the goods to his own country. All costs and risks related to the goods and other liabilities are met by the buyer since the goods are delivered in the enterprise.

FAS > Free Alongside Ship – Delivery in Line

Delivery features: In this delivery form, the seller is responsible for bringing the goods to the side of the ship. If the goods are in the ship dock, they are delivered by loading. If the ship is moored in the open, it is delivered to the side of the ship by barges. Risks such as loss or damage of goods belong to the buyer since delivery. From now on, all costs and freight related to the goods are borne by the buyer. In this delivery form, all documents related to export are prepared by the buyer. Customs transactions are also made by the buyer.

FOB > Free On Board – Delivery on Board

Features of the delivery method: In this delivery method, the seller performs the loading of the goods to the ship supplied by the buyer at the determined date and place. Any damages, losses and expenses that may occur after the goods have passed to the ship's deck (deck) are the responsibility of the buyer. The seller prepares all necessary documents for export and delivers the goods by completing the customs procedures.

CFR > Cost And Freight – Cost and transportation

Delivery type features: In this type of delivery, the seller undertakes all costs and risks and brings the goods to the port to be loaded. It performs customs procedures and carries out the loading by paying the freight fee. From this moment on, all costs and risks related to goods other than freight belong to the buyer.

CIF > Cost, Insurence And Freight – Cost, Insurance and transportation

Delivery type features: In this type of delivery, the seller assumes the premium, freight and loading costs and risks and brings the goods to the port to be loaded. The seller negotiates and supplies with the ship agency. It informs the buyer that the goods in the sales contract are loaded on the specified date and place.
